A visual identity of interlocking symbols to represent new healthcare values in an established hospital. The design challenge was to communicate the four new values independently and be able to be integrated into – whilst not overpowering – the current corporate brand.
The project was initiated through a series of rapid three hour codesign workshops with a multidisciplinary design team and key Auckland Hospital stakeholders. Throughout the design process, the key stakeholders were continually engaged to facilitate a democratic approach and transparent process.
We aimed to go beyond traditional forms of branding communication the hospital was familiar with. Experimenting with alternative forms and materials, we prototyped to find new ways of embedding the new values in the organisation.
